David J. Zatta, 59, Dumont Resident
DUMONT, N.J. -- David J. Zatta, of Dumont, died on Tuesday, May 3. He was 59.
Born in Teaneck, Zatta was employed by the Bergenfield Board of Education. He owned and operated Hammer Head Construction of Dumont and was a co-owner of Zatta Opticians of Bergenfield, with his father.
He enjoyed coaching softball, soccer, basketball and baseball in Dumont.

PARAMUS, N.J. -- The CarePlus Foundation is inviting the public to help it honor those who have shown "The Power to Change a Lifetime," its 18th Annual Courage Awards Gala, on Wednesday, June 8, at the Venetian.
The event includes a cocktail hour, dinner, live and silent auctions, a 50/50 raffle and more. It's the organization's largest fundraiser. It celebrates those who work tirelessly to advocate for mental health and raises funds for scholarships, housing and medication assistance, addiction services, child abuse intervention, and more.

Bergen Freeholders Expand Contract With Pascack Valley Meals On Wheels
HACKENSACK, N.J. -- The Bergen County Board of Chosen Freeholders agreed to an enlarged contract with Pascack Valley Meals on Wheels on Tuesday, May 3.
The program provides meals to Northern Bergen County residents with disabilities who are younger than 60. The Board agreed on a contract amount of $14,000, which is an increase of $3,000 over 2015, and a $6,000 increase over 2014. The increase reflects both an increased number of meals served, as well as an increase in food costs.
In 2014, 1,721 meals were served, and in 2015, it was 2,363. In 2016, the group aims to serve at least 2,900 mea…
