Zola M. (Allen) Giovio, 87, Former Longtime Dumont Resident
DUMONT, N.J. -- Zola M. (Allen) Giovio -- a Toms River resident, formerly of Dumont -- died on Monday, May 2. She was 87.
Raised in Closter, Giovio lived most of her life in Dumont. She spent her later years with her daughter and son-in-law in the Lavallette-Toms River area of Ocean County.
"Zola will always be remembered as being a sweet, fun, exceedingly generous and kind person, and for her love of playing Bingo," information from the funeral home noted.

Jesus B. DeJesus, 94, Bergenfield Resident
BERGENFIELD, N.J. -- Jesus B. DeJesus, of Bergenfield, died on Monday, May 2. He was 94. Born in the Philippines, DeJesus was an Army veteran of World War II. He was an accountant at the Tabacalera.
He is survived by his wife, Luisa; children Mario, Victor, Lutgarda, Merle, Victoria and Socorro; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
DeJesus was predeceased by his son, Erasmo, and his parents, Petra and Eugenio.
Visiting hours will be from 8:30-10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, at the Frech Mc-Knight Funeral Home, 161 Washngton Ave., in Dumont. The funeral mass will follow, at 11 a.m…
