Little Tribe Lacrosse Coming To Wyckoff
WYCKOFF, N.J. -- Registration is now open for the summer Little Tribe Lacrosse program.The 10-session program is for boys and girls who are currently in grades 1-4, and will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 14 through July 14.
The program features experienced coaching staff, skills and position-specific instruction, games and scrimmages, contests and prizes, and a Tribe pinnie -- which is a sleeveless jersey, for those not in the know.

Ridgewood High School Jazz Lab To Play Dinner Concert
RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- "Jazz in the Wood," a jazz dinner concert, is coming to Ridgewood on Friday, May 13 -- but the registration deadline is Friday, May 6.The Ridgewood High School Band Association and the Woman's Club of Ridgewood are partnering to bring this concert, which will feature the RHS Jazz Lab and Big Band, with special guest saxophonist Mark Friedman.
Friedman has toured, performed and recorded with a variety of greats, including Frank Sinatra, Tito Puente, Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin.

Thursday, May 5, is Cinco de Mayo, another adopted holiday that Americans roundly celebrate -- but may not understand why.
Cinco de Mayo is literally "Five of May" in Spanish. It is not, in fact, Mexico's Independence Day. That's Sept. 16. Cinco de Mayo is actually the commemoration of a military victory over French forces, in 1862, at the Battle of Puebla.
