John Granito, 98, Longtime Oradell Resident
ORADELL, N.J. -- John Granito, a longtime resident of Oradell, died on Tuesday, April 5. He was 98.
Granito was a proud Army veteran of World War II and of the VFW and Senior Center in Oradell, where he will be missed by his many friends there.
He is survived by his two children, Jim Granito and his wife Sharon, and Ellen Berk and her husband Vincent; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen.

Jose R. Ortega, 74, Rutherford Resident
RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Jose R. Ortega, of Rutherford, died on Wednesday, April 6. He was 74.Born in Cuba, Ortega came to the United States in 1956. He was a foreman for many years, for a machine shop in Newark, before retiring.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Teresa (Gomez) Ortega; children Jose Ortega and his wife Daniella, and Myrna Cabrera and her husband Sergio; and grandchildren Katelyne Ortega, Cora Drew Ortega, Sergio Cabrera and Christina Cabrera.
Ortega was predeceased by his grandson, Andrew Ortega.

Roseann C. Wirth, 89, Paramus Resident
PARAMUS, N.J. -- Roseann C. (Clennan) Wirth -- a Paramus resident, formerly of Bergenfield and Fleischmanns, New York -- died on Wednesday, April 6. She was 89.
Before retiring in 1993, Wirth worked for Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck for over 25 years, as a personnel supervisor. She volunteered with Pre-Cana and was a Eucharistic minister at St. John the Evangelist Church in Bergenfield. After moving to Fleischmanns, New York, she continued to be a Eucharistic minister at Sacred Heart Church, in Margaretville, New York.
