Carl Joseph Besold, 91, Maywood Resident MAYWOOD, N.J. -- Carl J. Besold, died on Tuesday, April 5. He was 91. An Army veteran of World War II, Besold worked for Philip Creter, in Union, as a tool and die maker. He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Young and her husband Allen; grandchildren Nicole Marisette and her husband Ray, Anthony Timpanapo, Tyler Young, and Arianna Young. Besold was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Lucy (Tenaglia), and his son, Russell Besold. As reported in the Daily Voice in February, the Glen Rock Council voted down a $238,000 bridge loan that would have helped fund the Thielke Arboretum Education Center.
