SADDLE RIVER, N.J. -- The Saddle River Day School is hosting a free lecture from best-selling author Dr. Michael G. Thompson on Tuesday, April 26 -- and the public is welcome to attend.
Thompson has been a clinical psychologist, school consultant and international speaker regarding children, schools and parenting for nearly 35 years. Friends Of Glen Rock Library To Be Honored April 10
GLEN ROCK, N.J. -- The Glen Rock Public Library is hosting on open house on Sunday, April 10, to honor the Friends of the Glen Rock Library.
"Founded in 1982, the Friends has been a major source of funding for enhancements to the library's collections, electronic resource centers, furnishings and exterior areas," the library website notes. The group also underwrites programs for kids and teens.

Cliffside Park Cheerleading Team Takes National Honors
CLIFFSIDE PARK, N.J. -- Cliffside Park Mayor Thomas Calabrese and council congratulated the Cliffside Park Recreation Competitive Cheerleading team, Raiders Elite, at their meeting on Tuesday, April 5.
As the borough noted in a Facebook post on Wednesday, the team were the grand national champions at the Kalahari Nationals, in the Poconos on Feb. 20. "Mayor Calabrese, the Council and the residents of the Borough are very proud of you," the borough noted in its post.

Mahwah Museum Holds Talk On Former Ramsey Newspaper
MAHWAH, N.J. -- Tom Dunn will present "The Story of the Ramsey Journal" at the Mahwah Museum on Sunday, May 15.
Tom Dunn, former archive director of the museum, will discuss the history of the Ramsey Journal. John Dater II established the paper in 1892, bringing news to Northwest Bergen County.
