Sign Up For Religious Education Classes In Leonia LEONIA, N.J. -- Registration is now open for children's religious education classes at St. John the Evangelist Church for the fall, for grades K-8. There's a Sunday morning class, from 10:30 a.m. to noon, and there's a Monday afternoon option, for kids grades 1-4, from 3:15-4:45 p.m. The classes begin Sept. 25, but classes are filling up and supplies are being ordered soon. Cliffside Park Sets New School Budget, Elects BOE Members CLIFFSIDE PARK, N.J. -- Cliffside Park residents voted to approved a nearly $50 million school budget, which will include a tax levy increase of around 3 percent, The Record recently reported. Yakup Zoklu and Neville Raincourt were also elected to the school board, and incumbent Lisa Frato kept her seat, according to The Record. The budget takes a variety of factors into account, including three more teachers, to deal with expected increased enrollment; the cost of employee benefits; and building renovations, The Record reported. A member of the High Mountain Presbyterian Church in Franklin Lakes, Watts was one of the founding charter members of the Presbyterian Church at Franklin Lakes and the first woman elder at the Church.
