Budding Cresskill Musicians Take Hawthorne Stage
CRESKILL, N.J. -- Adult students of the School of Rock, both in Cresskill and Wayne, will be bringing it in Hawthorne on Thursday, May 26."Cresskill rockers will be playing the music of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, and Wayne musicians will be bringing us the history of blues," organizers note.
Tickets are $10, either at the door or in advance, at the schools. The show will begin at 8 p.m., at Sticks & Stones, 142 Goffle Rd., in Hawthorne.

Sandra Lee (Gallo) Apolito, 68, Longtime Former Elmwood Park Resident
ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. -- Sandra Lee (Gallo) Apolito -- a Toms River resident, formerly a longtime resident of Elmwood Park, even when it was East Paterson -- died on Tuesday, April 19. She was 68.
She is survived by her sons, Robert and Donald; daughters-in-law Susanne and Staci; grandchildren Ashley and Breyanna; siblings Frank Gallo, Eleanor La Rossa and Rose Bertani; and many nieces, nephews and great friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald, and siblings, Louis Gallo, Barbara Leskanic, Richard Gallo and Dolores Kubat.

WYCKOFF, N.J. -- Wyckoff Family YMCA is putting a new twist on the old garage sale with its "Junk in the Trunk" sale, just in time for spring cleaning, on Saturday, April 30.
"Clean out your closets and load up your trunk with clothing, furniture, kitchenware, baby items or knickknacks to sell from the back of your car or truck," organizers note.
Registration began April 1, and the registration deadline is April 25. The fee for members is $25 per parking space (or $40 for two spaces). For non-members, it's $30 for the single space and $45 for two.
