Ridgewood Health Department Offers Free Rabies Clinic RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- The Ridgewood Health Department is offering residents an annual free dog rabies clinic on Wednesday, May 11 -- and rabies vaccinations are required to get the required dog license. Dogs must be accompanied by an adult and leashed or in a carrier. New Jersey law requires owners of all dogs seven months old and older to be registered with the town they live in. To get a license, the owner must present proof that a licensed vet has vaccinated the dog against rabies, and that vaccination is good until May 1, 2017. East Rutherford Beautification Project Drew Over 80 Volunteers EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Over 80 volunteers gathered this weekend to beautify East Rutherford's park and gazebo on Railroad Avenue, Councilman Joel Brizzi discussed in a Sunday Facebook post. The project began when Liz Bucceri approached him six weeks ago, about the possibility of the the East Rutherford Daisies -- the Daisies being the youngest level of Girl Scouts -- doing a beautification project in the borough. Ars Musica Chorale is forming the New Jersey State Children's Chorus. The NJSCC will have two ensembles: the Apprentice Choir, for kids K-2, and the Intermediate Choir, for kids in grades 3-5. Each will have approximately 40 singers. A third ensemble, for middle-school students, is planned for the future.
