Stanford-Bound Srds Lacrosse Player Reaches Scoring Milestone
SADDLE RIVER, N.J. -- Saddle River Day School's Daniella McMahon is bound for Standford, and also recently became only the fourth player in the state to score 400 goals in her career, NJ Advance Media reported.McMahon reached this mark on the same day North Brunswick's Samantha Mehalick had, but the others had come in 2014 and 2013, according to NJ Advance Media.
Her family was able to cheer her on that day, including her sister, Michaela, who's also on the team, as well as her parents, Karen and Paul, who both coach for the school. Read the full NJ Advance Media story here.
Englewood's BergenPAC Organizes 'Back To The Eighties' Show
ENGLEWOOD, N.J. -- "Back to the Eighties Show with Jessie's Girl" is coming to Englewood's bergenPAC on Friday, July 8, and feel free to wear any spandex and leg warmers you may have left over.
The band Jessie's Girl does renditions of the some of the '80s biggest hits, while dressed up as some of its icons -- Cindi Lauper, Michael Jackson, Prince and more. "It is theater, meets live music, smothered in '80s glitz," the band notes on its website.

'Safety Town' Returns To Wayne
WAYNE, N.J. -- Wayne will again have its "Safety Town" program, in one-week sessions throughout July, to help educate incoming kindergartners about home, school and community safety.
The program will consist of week-long sessions, from July 5-29, from 9-11 a.m. The first week is just four days, since it's closed for the Fourth of July, and so the cost is $40, instead of the $50 of the other week-long sessions.

HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J. -- The Garfield Applebee's is hosting "Short Stacks for a Tall Cause" on Saturday, May 28, to benefit Hasbrouck Heights' Bible Baptist Church.Tickets are $10, and the meal includes pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, and coffee, juice, soda or tea.
