Thompson in Hartford to eight months of imprisonment followed by one year of supervised release for insider trading, authorities said. First County Bank Supports Mentor Program In Stamford Schools With Grant STAMFORD, Conn. -- The Stamford Public Education Foundation has received a $3,500 grant from First County Bank Foundation to support its Stamford Mentoring Program. The program, which was launched in 2010, provides students who need additional academic or social support with the resources and guidance required to be successful during middle school, high school and in college and career endeavors. I-87 Lane Closed For Bridge Work Through December WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Repair work on the Ashford Avenue Bridge will require the extended closure of the northbound left lane on the New York State Thruway (I-87) between exit 7 (Ardsley – Route 9A) and exit 7A (Saw Mill River Parkway – Taconic State Parkway) in White Plains, according to the Thruway Authority. Man, 24, Charged Again With Allowing Dogs To Run At-Large In Yorktown YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- For the second time in a week, Yorktown police have charged a 24-year-old local man with violating a town code prohibiting dogs from running at-large. The latest charge came about in connection with a July 9 incident in which a female walking at Turkey Point Preserve was allegedly chased, jumped upon and harassed by two dogs in the park, police report. Nyack Man Charged With Assault After Fight With Orangetown Officer ORANGETOWN, N.Y. -- Orangetown police have arrested a 32-year-old resident of Nyack on assault and other charges following a physical altercation with an officer, authorities said.
