Loaded Handgun Recovered During Identity Theft Arrests In Greenburgh
GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- Detectives from the Greenburgh Police Department, in conjunction with the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and the Greenburgh Police SWAT team, executed a search warrant in Elmsford on Wednesday, resulting in two arrests, police said.
The warrant was issued following a lengthy investigation into identity theft and other fraudulent activity, according to police.

Green Haven Correctional Facility Officers Attacked Twice In Six Weeks
STORMVILLE, N.Y. -- A corrections officer sustained a number of injuries after a violent attack by an inmate at Green Haven Correctional Facility in Stormville on Wednesday, authorities said.
The attack was the second against a corrections officer at the prison in the last six weeks.
During the incident, which occurred about 8:25 a.m., inmate Tirone Moore, 29, approached the officer, who was standing in front of the housing unit supply closet, and requested to speak with him, according to prison officials.

Comedian Kevin Meaney, Valhalla Native, Dies At 60
Comedian and actor Kevin Meaney, a Valhalla native, has died at the age of 60, according to multiple news reports.
Meaney, whose career included numerous appearances on HBO, “Saturday Night Live” and “The Tonight Show” with Johnny Carson, was found unresponsive at his Forestburgh home Friday, with the cause of death not immediately known, according to CNN.
Meaney, who also starred in the 1990 sitcom “Uncle Buck,” and on Broadway in “Hairspray,” is best remembered for the catchphrase “That’s not right.”
