'Tis The Season: Piermont Holiday Boutique Returns
PIERMONT, N.Y. -- The Piermont Historical Society will hold its Third Annual Holiday Boutique on Sunday, Nov. 13, from noon to 5 p.m. at the Piermont Train Station, 50 Ash St.
Sales from the event will benefit the Historical Society.
The boutique will include guided tours of Piermont’s history museum, which is housed at the station.
The tours will be led by Historical Society member Richard Esnard.
Refreshments at the event will include hot cider and cookies.

NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Longtime New Canaan resident Todd Lavieri has been appointed to the board of CTNext, a subsidiary of Connecticut Innovations, the state's venture capital fund.
State Senate Minority Leader Len Fasano of North Haven recommended Lavieri, president of the Stamford-based ISG Americas, Australia and New Zealand, for the post.

Woman Stopped For Speeding In Putnam Charged With Drug Possession
CARMEL, N.Y. -- A Putnam County Sheriff’s deputy has arrested a 45-year-old Putnam Valley woman on a drug possession charge, authorities said.
The arrest came about when Deputy Sheriff Frank Gallipani stopped a speeding motorist on Secor Road in the Town of Putnam Valley on Friday, Nov. 4, around, 10:40 a.m., according to the sheriff's office.
During the course of the traffic stop, Gallipani observed drug paraphernalia in plain view in the interior of the vehicle, the sheriff's office said.
