Joseph Skiba, 66, Longtime Garfield Resident
GARFIELD, N.J. -- Joseph Skiba, a longtime Garfield resident, died on Sunday, April 24. He was 66. Born in Passaic, Skiba lived there before moving to Garfield nearly 40 years ago. He was a mail clerk for the United States Postal Service in Paterson for 41 years, before he retired in 2006.
He is survived by his sisters, Maryann Suita and her husband Joseph of Garfield, and Mary Josita Skiba of Lodi; nieces Patricia and her husband Scott, and Jo Ann and her husband Albert; great-nieces Allyson and Mariella; and great-nephew Nathan.

RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Carolyn (Miller) Sailer -- a Rutherford resident, formerly of Jersey City -- died on Sunday, April 24. She was 73.
Sailer graduated from New York City’s Eastern School for Physician Aids. She began her career at the Jersey City Medical Center and then served 37 years as a research assistant at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
