John A. Cavanaugh, 73, Former Clifton Resident
NORTH ARLINGTON, N.J. -- John A. Cavanaugh -- a Manchester resident, formerly of Clifton, died on Monday, May 23. He was 73.
An Army veteran of the Vietnam War, Cavanaugh was a finance broker for the past 40 years and the owner of Fax Back Commercial Credit.
He is survived by his former wife, Barbara (Novroski) Cavanaugh; children, Tara and John Cavanaugh, Briana DiPardo and her husband Steve, and Shawna Cavanaugh and her fiancé Stephen Smith; grandchildren Aiden and Avery DiPardo; and nephew Dr. John Marshall.

Palisades Park Korean Parents Group Host Children's Day Festival
PALISADES PARK, N.J. --The Palisades Park Korean Parents Group is bringing the free Children's Day Festival to the Lindbergh Elementary School Field on Friday, May 27.
The festival includes taekwondo demonstrations, Korean dance and music performances, a raffle, a free lunch for children, music, games, and other activities. Refreshments -- including ice cream, drinks and cotton candy -- will be available for sale.
Proceeds from the refreshments and raffle will benefit the Palisades Park School Scholarship Fund.
