Burglaries, Weapons Violations Keep Clarkstown Police Busy
CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. -- The Clarkstown Police Department responded to 628 calls the week of Sept. 5-12, according to statistics released by the department.
Cases included three alcohol and narcotics investigations, six incidents of arson, vandalism or criminal mischief, four assaults and two burglaries and robberies, police said.
The department also responded to 30 domestic incidents, 23 cases of fraud and theft, two weapons violations and four emotionally disturbed persons, according to police.

Norwalk Preservation Trust Plans Tour To Showcase The Gilded Age
NORWALK, Conn. -- The Norwalk Preservation Trust will be hosting its sixth annual Living History Tour on Sunday, Sept. 25, from 12:30 to 5 p.m.
The event, “Victorian Splendor: The Homes, Churches and Monuments of Norwalk’s Gilded Age,” will feature a bus tour of some of the city’s most noted sites.
The excursion, which will include four stops, will start and end at the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum, a home built in 1868 that is now a National Historic Landmark.
