Albany County resident Jesse Stockman, age 37, of Colonie, was arrested Friday, Jan. 12, in connection with several break-ins at businesses in Colonie. Lane Closures Scheduled For Stretch Of Sunrise Highway Scheduled roadwork on a busy Long Island roadway could cause delays for drivers in the coming weeks. In the Town of Islip, the right and center lanes of eastbound Sunrise Highway (Route 27) will be closed nightly at exit 48 from 10 p.m. to 6 am. beginning Sunday, Jan. 21 and lasting two weeks. The northbound right lane of Locust Avenue will also be closed during those times, according to the Department of Transportation. 14-Year-Old Dies From Gunshot At Capital Region Home A 14-year-old boy has died from a gunshot wound suffered at a home in the region. Emergency crews in Albany were called to a residence on New Hope Terrace shortly before 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, for someone who may have shot himself. Inside, officers found the teen dead from a gunshot wound, according to Albany Police. It was not immediately clear whether the shooting was accidental or intentional, or whether any adults were present at the time. No other details were given. This is a developing story.
