Tree Falls Onto I-87 In Woodbury, Causes Crash Emergency responders raced to the New York Thruway in Orange County over the weekend after a tree fell on the interstate, causing a crash in the process.  The incident happened on Saturday, July 5, when a tree collapsed into I-87 South in Woodbury near mile marker 47.1, according to the Woodbury Fire Department.  A car then collided with the tree. Minor injuries were reported.  The incident caused traffic backups in the area as crews responded to the crash.
