Yorktown Man Charged With Criminal Possession Of A Controlled Substance YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown police have charged a 27-year-old resident of Yorktown Heights with criminal possession of a controlled substance following an incident on Court Street, authorities said.The charge came about after officers were dispatched to investigate a resident’s allegations of a suspicious vehicle Tuesday about midnight, according to officials. Police Dish Out 52 Tickets In Yorktown Enforcement Detail YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- New York State Police doled out 52 tickets during an occupant safety enforcement detail Sunday in Yorktown. The assignment took place in Yorktown at FDR State Park between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., according to officials. The majority of the tickets – 27 in all – were issued for child restraint violations, police report. Another 22 tickets were issued for seat belt violations, along with three for violations of other vehicle and traffic laws, according to officials.

Edgewater Borough Hall Site Of Superfund Cleanup Discussions EDGEWATER, N.J. -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Honeywell International will host information sessions about the start of cleanup activities at the Quanta Resources Superfund site. Gov. Cuomo Signs Legislation Expanding New York’s 'Move Over' Law Gov. Andrew Cuomo has signed legislation expanding New York State's "Move Over” law to include volunteer firefighters and ambulance workers. The measure requires drivers to slow down and move over a lane when approaching a vehicle with flashing blue or green lights being operated by volunteer firefighters or ambulance workers involved in a roadside emergency. Ramapo Police Charge Motorist With Aggravated DWI RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Ramapo police arrested a motorist on a DWI charge Saturday. Prosecutor: Doctor Charged With Billing Fraud PASSAIC COUNTY, N.J. -- A 49-year-old physician from Park Ridge was charged with several counts of healthcare claims fraud, authorities said.
