$115M Bridge Construction Project In Mamaroneck Completed: 'Will Keep Travelers Safe' A $115 million project to reconstruct a more-than-century-old bridge carrying a well-traveled route over a river in Westchester has finished, officials announced. After nearly four years, the reconstruction of the bridge carrying Route 1 over the Mamaroneck River in the Town of Mamaroneck has been completed, New York Gov. Car Crashes Into Store In Hartsdale A store in Westchester was damaged when a woman crashed her car into it.  The crash happened on Friday, Aug. 2 just after 8:30 a.m., when a car crashed into the Mattress Firm store in Hartsdale at 84 South Central Ave. According to the Hartsdale Fire Department, the car was found 50 feet into the store with the front driver's side over the basement stairwell. 37-Year-Old Man Dies After Stabbing In Mount Vernon: Suspect At Large Authorities are investigating a stabbing that left a 37-year-old man dead in Westchester.  The incident happened on Thursday, Aug. 1 around 10:20 p.m., when the victim was taken to the Mount Vernon Hospital Emergency Room after being stabbed numerous times at the intersection of Union Avenue and East 3rd Street in Mount Vernon, according to city officials.  Despite best efforts, the victim died at the hospital. Lanes Reopen On I-95 In Rye After Crash All lanes of a busy interstate in Westchester have reopened to traffic following a crash.
